Herzeleid is the debut album by German industrial metal band Rammstein. It was released on 29 September 1995.
The album’s original cover depicted the band members’ upper bodies without clothing. This caused critics to accuse the band of trying to sell themselves as “poster boys for the master race”.
The direct translation of “Herzeleid” is “heartache”; however, according to an interview on Talking Metal’s podcast in 2007, Richard Kruspe stated that it doesn’t translate to “Heartache”, but in the German language, it simply means “heartbreak”. The album is a culmination of the relationship troubles of all but one of the six band members, hence the title “Herzeleid”.

The Battle Rages On… is the fourteenth studio album by Deep Purple, released in 1993. It is the last album recorded with the band’s classic Mk II line-up reunited for a second time (the first reunion being 1984′s Perfect Strangers). Since Ian Gillan returned to the band in late 1992, he reworked much of the material already existing for the album. Ritchie Blackmore became infuriated at the non-melodic elements and quit during the tour in 1993, during the 17 November show in Helsinki, Finland. Joe Satriani joined Deep Purple as a temporary replacement for the duration of the band’s tour.

Purpendicular is the fifteenth studio album by English rock band, Deep Purple. Released in 1996, it is their first album with Steve Morse, guitarist from Dixie Dregs.
It was recorded at Greg Rike Productions, Orlando, Florida, February to October 1995 and engineered by Darren Schneider and Keith Andrews. It has a more experimental feel than previous albums. “The Aviator” has an arrangement unlike anything else the band has previously attempted. Several of the songs, such as Vavoom: Ted the Mechanic feature smaller keyboard parts, and mainly centre around the guitar parts. Another new addition to the guitar playing was the use of pinch harmonics, very notably used on “Vavoom: Ted the Mechanic” and “Somebody Stole My Guitar”. “Sometimes I Feel Like Screaming” and “Vavoom: Ted the Mechanic” remained regular features in Deep Purple’s live setlist in recent tours.
Like the title of the band’s following album, Abandon, Purpendicular is a pun; in this case, based on the band’s name and the word “Perpendicular”.

Pulse (stylized as P·U·L·S·E) is a live double album by English progressive rock band Pink Floyd, released through EMI Records on 29 May 1995 in the United Kingdom and by Columbia Records on 6 June 1995 in the United States, containing songs from their albums.

The album was recorded during the band’s Division Bell Tour in 1994, specifically the UK and European leg, which ran from July to October 1994. The tour was sponsored in Europe by Volkswagen, which also issued a commemorative version of its top-selling car, the “Golf Pink Floyd”, one of which was given as a prize at each concert. It was a standard Golf with Pink Floyd decals and a premium stereo, and had Volkswagen’s most environmentally friendly engine, at Gilmour’s insistence.

18 til I Die is the seventh studio album by the Canadian rock artist Bryan Adams. Released on June 4, 1996 through A&M Records, the album became a commercial success peaking at #1 in United Kingdom and number two in his homeland Canada. It was recorded on different locations which included Jamaica and France. The album was panned by critics, saying he was trying to be youthful while sounding more like “having a mid-life crisis”. While previous albums by Adams had all been quite consistent in terms of production and songwriting qualities, 18 til I Die was somewhat of a patchwork, making up of ballads (i.e., “I’ll Always Be Right There”, “I Think About You”), blues-orientated rock tunes (i.e., “Black Pearl”, “Do to You”), and soundtrack songs (“Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?”, “Star”). The album was poorly received by fans in the US and peaked at only #31 there, becoming his last platinum album. Adams launched a world tour, the “18 til I Die” tour in May 1996 in Tallinn, Estonia. This is the first Adams album not to include a Jim Vallance song, who has occasionally been vocal on the record’s lyrical content (specifically concerning the song “(I Wanna Be) Your Underwear”).

…And Justice for All is the fourth studio album by the American heavy metal band Metallica. The album was released on August 25, 1988 through Elektra Records. It was the group’s first full studio album to feature bassist Jason Newsted, following the death of Cliff Burton in 1986. Newsted had previously appeared on the Metallica E.P. The $5.98 E.P.: Garage Days Re-Revisited, which was his first recorded work with Metallica. …And Justice for All was certified 8x platinum by the RIAA on June 9, 2003

The front cover depicts the statue of Lady Justice cracked, bound by ropes, her breasts exposed, and both of her scales filled with dollars. The words “…And Justice for All” are written in graffiti-like lettering to the right. The cover art was created by Stephen Gorman, based on a concept developed by James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich. …And Justice for All was Metallica’s final collaboration with longtime producer Flemming Rasmussen. The album was initially released on one vinyl disc, but soon after re-released (without additional tracks) as a double-album.

Time Machine is the fifth studio album by guitarist Joe Satriani, released on October 26, 1993 through Epic Records. It is a double-disc compilation, with the first disc containing a selection of new and unreleased studio recordings (including four tracks from Satriani’s 1984 self-titled EP), whilst the second disc is composed of live recordings from 1988 and 1992. “Speed of Light”, an unused track from the sessions for The Extremist (1992), was featured on the soundtrack to the 1993 film Super Mario Bros. The album reached #95 on that year’s Billboard 200 chart and remained charted for eight weeks.

Rammstein – Das Modell

German tanz metal band Rammstein covered the German version of “Das Model” in 1997 as “Das Modell”. It was released as a non-album single.
“Das Modell” is introduced by a French phrase spoken by film editor Mathilde Bonnefoy: “Mesdames et messieurs, nous avons l’honneur ce soir, de vous présenter la nouvelle collection de Rammstein” which translates to “Ladies and Gentlemen, tonight we have the honour of presenting you with Rammstein’s new collection” – something that one would expect to hear about a clothing collection. The beginning sounds like a fashion catwalk. Someone belches then a bump and a scream is heard, followed by laughter and cameras clicking, apparently to sound as if the model stumbled and fell.
The single contains three non-album tracks taken from the Sehnsucht recording sessions.
